M&M’s fans have another flavour to hunt down, but for now, Australians may have to admire this one from afar.

The new M&M’s Mint Crunchy Cookie is rolling out in the United States, combining a crispy cookie centre with milk chocolate and a cool hit of mint, all finished with the familiar colourful candy shell.

The flavour follows the success of Crunchy Cookie M&M’s, which first launched in the US in 2022. Australia already has its own locally developed Crunchy Cookie variety, available through major supermarkets and independent retailers.

At the moment, however, the new Mint Crunchy Cookie variety is exclusive to Walmart in the US, with no Australian release confirmed.

That doesn’t necessarily mean we’ll miss out forever. If the new flavour proves popular in America, Mars could eventually decide there’s enough appetite for a local release or Australian version.

And let’s face it, chocolate and mint already have a pretty devoted fan club in Australia.

Until then, Aussie M&M’s lovers will have to stick with the flavours already on shelves, keep an eye on imported confectionery stores, or start lobbying Mars immediately.

Would you try Mint Crunchy Cookie M&M’s, or should mint stay well away from chocolate?
