The Anzac Day public holiday is Saturday, April 25.

This significant day, set on the anniversary of the original landing in Gallipoli, is used to recognise all who have served our country in times of war and peace, and remember those who have sacrificed themselves for Australia. Since it is a public holiday, you won’t exactly be able to go about your day as usual, as businesses will have different trading hours. Here’s what’s open and what’s closed around Melbourne this Anzac Day.

In Victoria, Anzac Day is a restricted trading day, which means that most businesses will be closed between midnight and 1pm on April 25. This means that supermarkets, like Woolworths and Coles, will be closed until 1pm. This also includes liquor stores, such as Dan Murphy’s and BWS. Other major retailers, like Kmart, Big W, Target, JB Hi-Fi and Bunnings, will also be closed until 1pm.
