A new survey has ranked a list of beaches around the world, with Aussie tourist hotspots Bondi and Byron Bay voted as some of the most overhyped.
Ibiza Summer Villas compiled the list of beaches from around the world by comparing global search interest with traveller reviews and weather data. Thailand took out the top two spots with Railay Beach named the most over hyped beach in the world, and Patong Beach in the second spot.
Byron Bay came in fourth place as the world’s most overhyped beach, followed by Bondi Beach.
Australia also clocked in with two more beaches on the most overhyped list, with NSW’s Manly Beach coming in at 14, and Queensland’s Palm Cove coming in at 15.
