Australia’s favourite peanut butter is getting a major makeover, with Bega launching its first-ever range of flavoured peanut spreads.
The two new flavours are Creamy Caramel and Marshmallow Raspberry, marking the biggest shake-up to the iconic spread in decades.
Rather than being aimed solely at breakfast, Bega says the new range is designed for those moments when you’re craving something a little more indulgent. Think spreading it on toast, spooning it over pancakes, drizzling it across fruit, mixing it into desserts or simply enjoying it straight from the jar.
The Creamy Caramel variety combines Bega’s classic smooth peanut butter with a rich sweet-and-salty caramel flavour, while Marshmallow Raspberry blends roasted peanuts with marshmallow sweetness, a hint of raspberry and a crunchy texture reminiscent of rocky road.
According to Bega, the launch reflects changing eating habits, with Australians increasingly using peanut butter in creative ways beyond the traditional sandwich. From dipping pretzels and apple slices to adding it to smoothies and desserts, peanut butter has become far more versatile than ever before.
Bega Brand Manager Tess Penfold says the new spreads are designed to bring a little indulgence to everyday snacking, particularly for those afternoon or evening moments when people are looking for a treat.
The company believes the new range builds on more than 60 years of peanut butter tradition while giving Australians something completely different to try.
Both flavours are rolling out to supermarkets across the country now, giving peanut butter lovers a sweet new reason to head down the spreads aisle.
