A man in Ohio recently captured public attention after claiming his toaster was sending him messages from his late uncle. The strange situation began when he noticed scorch marks on his toast forming shapes that looked like letters. Over several days, the markings became clearer, spelling short reminders such as “CALL MUM” and “BUY MILK,” which his uncle often said during his lifetime.
Curious and slightly unnerved, he shared photos online, sparking debate about whether the messages were spiritual, coincidental, or simply the result of a malfunctioning appliance. The story gained so much traction that a local paranormal team visited his home to investigate.
After examining the toaster and running tests, they concluded the explanation was mundane: uneven heating coils were creating irregular burn patterns that occasionally resembled words. Despite this, the man hasn’t ruled out a more mysterious possibility, calling the timing “strangely personal.”
He has since retired the toaster but keeps it displayed as a conversation piece. Whether haunted or just faulty, it delivered some very memorable breakfasts.
