THE NANNY EXHIBIT’ INSPIRED BY SONY PICTURES TELEVISION’S ICONIC ’90S SITCOM IS COMING TO MELBOURNE IN FEBRUARY 2025

Celebrating the enduring legacy on fashion history and pop culture of Sony Pictures Television’s iconic series, “The Nanny,” an immersive exhibit bringing the style and flare of the beloved ‘90s sitcom is coming to Melbourne/Naarm in February 2025 for the first time, with ticket sales beginning today.

Comprised of the signature, fashion-forward looks worn by the series’ titular character, Fran Fine, (played by Fran Drescher), the exclusive collection will feature over 100 curated original designer costumes sourced from private collectors and directly from Sony Pictures Television’s Hollywood archive.

Visitors will be transported to a nostalgic reconstruction of the famous sets, complete with wardrobe installations designed by Vivienne Westwood, Moschino, Dolce & Gabbana, Versace and Christian Dior, props used by the entire cast, classic show memorabilia, and one-of-a-kind rarities donated from fans and private collectors around the world for the exhibition.

Head Curator and creator of The Nanny Exhibit, Chris Brempel assembled a vast range of the most sought-after items featured in the series for the collection from Germany to the US.

Across its six-season run in the ‘90s “The Nanny” generated a global fan base and maintains its popularity to this day. In Australia, the series has reached over 2 million viewers* on Nine Go! over the last 12 months (not including those who watch Binge, Foxtel, Samsung TV Plus and Stan).

A preview of The Nanny Exhibit launched in France in 2022 to huge success, with 23,000 visitors in its opening week. Following this success, local touring and brand experience group Pomerium has partnered with Sony Pictures Television to bring the exhibit to Melbourne.
