If you’ve ever wondered what you’d do during an alien abduction, apparently you can forget the laser guns, secret government agents and tin foil hats.
According to Florida UFO researcher Joe Jordan, simply calling on Jesus might be enough to bring the whole extraterrestrial experience to a sudden halt.
Jordan says he has spent decades investigating UFO sightings and alleged alien abductions, examining hundreds of reported cases along the way. During that research, he claims to have encountered people who said their frightening experiences ended immediately after they called out to Jesus or God.
It was a discovery that reportedly changed the direction of Jordan’s own life.
From UFO Investigator to Christianity
Jordan says his work investigating alleged encounters eventually led him to Christianity.
His CE4 Research Group has examined hundreds of claimed alien abduction experiences and explores the possibility that at least some of these encounters could have a spiritual rather than extraterrestrial explanation.
Not surprisingly, that theory has attracted plenty of debate.
Sceptics point to more conventional explanations for alien abduction experiences, including sleep paralysis and psychological factors, while there remains no established scientific evidence that invoking a religious figure can stop an extraterrestrial encounter.
Still, should you ever wake up at 3am to discover a flying saucer hovering over the backyard, apparently there’s another option before reaching for the phone.
And it doesn’t involve calling 000.
